I love Christmas. The holiday songs playing for months before. Wrapping presents. Eating cookies and chocolate and cakes. I love it all. My favorite part though, is seeing the faces of my family when they open what I got them. Even if I procrastinated that year, I just love to see people’s reactions to things. Hell, I bet ya my boyfriend’s family was shocked to see me tear up when I opened a black scarf as one of my gifts. Talk about a safe bet and I cried with happieness. (Underlying issues…. I lost my favorite black scarf recently and can’t find it to save my life. The gift was just like it, only better. Cashmere. Happy girl.)
I guess I just love surprises. Mostly giving people a nice surprise. It’s such a fun feeling. And you get to do it over and over and over again on Christmas. What’s there not to love?

Christmas Eve I finally watched It’s A Wonderful Life. (Cue the OMG YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THAT?! outcries.) For some reason this is one I just hadn’t seen all the way through. Whenever it would come on TV, it would be the end. I was so excited this year when it was on TV and just starting so I sat there and shushed people while I watched. (Spoiler Alert: It was really good.)

My Dad was so excited about this gift and I thought it would be a good way to start my Christmas Day pictures. We are the Schmittauers. And we love the Buckeyes. All day long.

Me and my momma. She’s my favorite

My sister Kari made me the cutest hat! I love love love it! She’s so creative with her crochet skills. Although I must say that my mom got a sweater and I was pretty jeal. I guess I have some sucking up to do to get that hot commodity.

My Aunt Maria thinks of everything! She just knows me so well. You better believe I’ll be workin’ this bag! Best advertising deal ever.

Kaden cried for a minute but dangit he’s so cute I just had to take a picture. CUTE!

Love my family! This is me and my sister, twin brothers, and niece and neph. I hear we basically look the same. I don’t see it.

Merry Christmas!
